Cade Courtney

Howdy and welcome to Cade's website!

I'm a software engineer with a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas (2022), and I've been working in the IT and automation industry ever since.

I currently support a semiconductor manufacturing environment, where I focus on the automated material handling system (AMHS) and contribute to MES development, equipment automation, application development, and system design.

Outside of work, I'm a lifelong hobbyist with more ideas than free time. I enjoy building, tinkering, learning new tools, and working through a steady rotation of personal projects.

I play games, read, work with my 3D printer, experiment with electronics, and occasionally take on woodworking projects—and, of course, I write code for fun.

Education

Software & Engineering

My background is a mix of formal education, on-the-job learning in manufacturing, and a lot of self-directed study in programming, systems, and automation.

Self-Learning

I regularly teach myself new tools and technologies: Linux, Rust, C#, web development, electronics, and anything else that supports my projects.

Experience

Software Engineer – Manufacturing

I work as a software engineer in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, building tools for automation, data collection, and production support.

A lot of my day-to-day involves integrating software with real-world equipment, solving reliability issues, and making it easier for people on the floor to see what’s going on.

Side Projects & Personal Work

Outside of work, I build my own tools, experiment with different languages and frameworks, and document projects here to keep myself accountable.

Dev

I like working across the stack, from low-level scripting to full applications. Here are some of the areas I spend time in:

Dev Projects

Hobbies

When I’m not debugging something, I usually still end up building or tinkering with something else:
